Last updated by Ardmore Plumbers
Ardmore Plumbers covers a tight ring of eastern DuPage County with Villa Park at the center. Every town on this page is close enough that a plumber can get there on St. Charles Road, Roosevelt Road, North Avenue or Route 83 without crossing half the county, and every one of them shares the same basics: basements, clay sewer laterals under mature parkway trees, sump pits that work hard in spring, and winters that test every pipe on an outside wall.
The details change from town to town, and so does the work. Villa Park and the older core of Lombard still have blocks on combined sewers that back up in heavy storms. Elmhurst has spent the years since the 2010 floods pushing homeowners toward overhead sewers and check valves. Glen Ellyn's wooded lots mean roots in nearly every old sewer line. Addison's 1960s to 1990s houses are at the age where water heaters, sump pumps and fixtures all come due together. Westmont mixes century-old frame houses near Cass Avenue with condo and townhome buildings where one leak can reach three units. Each town page explains what we see there most. A town's pattern is context, not a diagnosis: the plumber still finds the cause in your house before recommending anything.

How long it takes a plumber to reach you
Typical drive times from Villa Park in ordinary traffic, and the roads a plumber usually takes. They are a guide, not a promise: on a storm night or the first sub-zero morning of the year, every plumber in DuPage County is busy, and we tell you an honest arrival window when you call.

Oakbrook Terrace and unincorporated pockets
Oakbrook Terrace borders Villa Park to the south along Roosevelt Road and is small enough that it doesn't need its own page: it even shares the 60181 ZIP code, and we cover it exactly as we cover Villa Park. The same goes for the unincorporated DuPage County pockets tucked between the villages. Some of those homes are served by a sanitary district rather than a village, and a few still have a private well or septic system, so mention it when you call.
If you live just outside this ring, in Downers Grove, Wheaton, Glendale Heights or Bensenville, call and ask. We will tell you straight whether we can get a plumber to you or whether you are better served by someone closer.
What we do in every town
The same seven services are available everywhere on this page:
- Plumbing Repair
- Drain Cleaning and Sewer Rodding
- Sump Pump Repair and Installation
- Water Heater Repair and Replacement
- Sewer Line Repair
- Basement Flood Control (Overhead Sewers and Backwater Valves)
- Emergency Plumber (24/7)
In every town the rules are the same: a live answer at any hour, a licensed and insured Illinois plumber, and a price before any work starts. Village programs differ, though. Villa Park, Lombard and Elmhurst have all offered cost-sharing for overhead sewers or backflow protection, with terms that change from year to year, so check current terms with your village before work begins.
Coverage doesn't change by town or by hour. We take the same calls at 3 a.m. in Westmont as at noon in Villa Park: houses, two-flats, condos and rentals, with landlords and property managers welcome to call for their tenants. Every plumber we send is licensed and insured in Illinois. You can check any plumber's license with the Illinois Department of Public Health.
The official program pages: Villa Park's Home Flood Prevention Reimbursement Program, Lombard's grants page and Elmhurst's cost-sharing programs. Our guide to how the Villa Park reimbursement works walks through the application order.
Service area questions
Is service the same on nights and weekends in every town?
Yes. (858) 363-8298 is answered live 24 hours a day for Villa Park, Lombard, Westmont, Addison, Glen Ellyn, Elmhurst and Oakbrook Terrace. What changes at night and on storm days is how many plumbers are free, so we give you an honest arrival window rather than a promise. Any after-hours rate is part of the price the plumber gives you before work starts.
Do you cover unincorporated addresses between the villages?
Usually, when the address sits inside the ring around Villa Park. Give us the full address and tell us who sends your sewer bill: some unincorporated homes are served by a sanitary district rather than a village, and a few still have a private well or septic system. The plumber needs to know that before arriving.
Does my town help pay for flood control or sewer repairs?
Some do. Villa Park, Lombard and Elmhurst have offered cost-sharing for overhead sewers or backflow protection, and Glen Ellyn has shared the cost of some sewer service line repairs under the street. Terms differ and change, so check current terms with your village before work starts. Only the village can approve a reimbursement.
How can I check a plumber's Illinois license before work starts?
Ask the plumber for their Illinois plumbing license number when they arrive, then look it up with the Illinois Department of Public Health, which licenses plumbers statewide. Every plumber we send is licensed and insured in Illinois, and none will mind you checking before a wrench turns.
